AIR is a French ambient and electronic music duo founded by Nicolas Godin and Jean-Benoît Dunckel.
The band's name should be written in all caps, AIR (as it always appears on the covers of CDs, the official website and various promotional materials), AIR is an acronym for Amour, Imagination, Rêve, 'Love, Imagination, Dream'. Probably their most appreciated work is their debut album entitled 'Moon Safari', published in 1998.
