Alan Clarke is a keyboardist and a member of Dire Straits. He joined Dire Straits since the album "Love Over Gold" (1982) and continued to work with the Straits until their breakup in 1995. Clark has worked with Mark Knopfler for several soundtracks, including that of the film Local Hero, which also makes a brief appearance as an extra in the role of the pianist of "Acetones, a Scottish band. Clark has also worked with David Knopfler in his solo albums.
