Alan White is best known as member and drummer of Yes. He has also collaborated with several other artists, such as, among others, John Lennon and George Harrison. In the '60s he joined the "Ginger Baker's Air Force", with Steve Winwood, and in 1969 he was called by John Lennon to play in a concert with the "Plastic Ono Band", which was made the live album "Live Peace in Toronto" (1969). Their collaboration continued again on the album "Imagine". Subsequently, White worked with George Harrison on the album "All Things Must Pass." In 1972, while he was on tour with Joe Cocker, White was invited to join Yes for the first concert of "Close to the Edge" U.S. Tour, he was taken on trial for three months, and since that time, White appears on all the albums of the band, becoming an official member. White recorded also a solo album, "Ramshackled" (1975), on which played other members of Yes.
