Born Alanis Nadine Morissette, she is a Canadian Grammy Award winning singer-songwriter, guitarist, record producer, and actress. She began her career in Canada very young, when she recorded two dance-pop albums. When she turned to rock, the success was immediate and massive. Her first international album Jagged Little Pill (1995) sold more than 33 million copies and became the best-selling debut album in music history. Each following album was then a success and Alanis Morissette has sold more than 60 million albums worldwide.
