Ok, it's a good work, among the best also in my opinion by Anekdoten, but it isn't a masterpiece.

A time of day marked a strong evolution in Anekdoten's sound. Their earlier recordings, Vemod and Nucleus, have a sound very close to Lark's Tongues in Aspic by King Crimson, subsequently, with From Within and Gravity they began to move towards a more personal and original direction, and thanks to A Time of Day, they have reached a good maturity.
In this record the songs are crisp, fresh and powerful, atmosphere is mysterious, gorgeous, lush and sometimes melancholic.
In A Time of Day, you find a very good prog rock, rooted in early 70s, with many original insights and solid songs.

A Time of Day is the best Anekdoten album until now. This work has the advantage of leaving the heavy influence of King Crimson. It's finally an original and complete dark prog with peaks of rare beauty. 'A Time of Day' is reflective and melancholy, it'is a progressive work that renews the genre and brings new ideas and atmospheres.

Probably Anekdoten along with Anglagard, are the most well-known bands of the new prog Scandinavian School. With "A Time of Day", the Anekdoten were able to  reinvent themselves, in fact, they give birth to an album, which I think is one of the best progressive rock albums of the last ten years.
