Anti-Nowhere League is an English punk rock band formed in 1980 by lead singer Animal (Nick Culmer), rhythm guitarist Magoo (Chris Exall), Bones (Tony Shaw) on drums and Baggy Elvy on bass. They always remained in the underground and they are still active. They knew unexpected worlwide popularity when heavy metal masters Metallica often covered their song "So What" in their live concerts and then in their album Garage Inc. Other members who played occasionally in the band throghout its history, to be added to those indicated are Jon Jon (JJ Kaos), Beef and Danny on drums, Jez on guitar, Gooky and Hopper on bass.
