Art Taylor (born Arthur S. Taylor, Jr.), is probably best known for his participation on several recordings by John Coltrane (mainly), and Miles Davis.
Art Taylor however, has collaborated with many others musicians, such as, Howard McGhee, Coleman Hawkins, Buddy DeFranco, Bud Powell, George Wallington, Thelonious Monk, Donald Byrd and Red Garland, among others.
Art Taylor had also an his own band called "The Wailers". His debut album as a leader is titled "Taylor's Wailers", and it was published in 1956. |
