Barry Edward Beckett was a musician and record producer. He played as a session man with several artists and bands, and, in 1973 was also a member of Traffic in their expanded lineup; his work can be heard on the live album "On The Road". Beckett, in 1969, was one of the founders of the Muscle Shoals Sound Studio, with which produced hits as "Smoke from a Distant Fire" (Sanford-Townsend Band) and "Torn Between Two Lovers" (Mary MacGregor).
