Bill MacCormick in the 60s and 70s was a member of several bands: "Quiet Sun", along with his brother Ian MacCormick (best known as Ian MacDonald), Phil Manzanera and others, "Matching Mole", "801", along with Manzanera, Brian Eno and others, and "Random Hold". He had also a career as a session musician. MacCormick retired from the music scene in the early eighties because serious financial problems. In the 00s, he played again bass on some manzanera's works.
