Bill Ward (born William Thomas Ward), is the drummer and original founding member of Black Sabbath. In addition to playing drums he performed lead vocals on two Black Sabbath songs, "It's Alright" and "Swinging the Chain". He inspired a whole generation of following hard rock/heavy metal drummers.
