Bobby Gillespie (born Robert Bernard Gillespie) is the founding member (together with Jim Beattie), the leader, the lead singer and the frontman of Primal Scream. Previously Gillespie had played the drums on the debut album of Jesus and Mary Chain "Psychocandy" (1985).
