Brad Laner began his career in "Steaming Coils", a band from Los Angeles, with which he recorded three albums,
then, he joined Savage Republic.
Subsequently, Laner left Savage Republic to found "Medicine", along with Beth Thompson (vocals), Eddie Rush (bass),
Jim Putnam (guitar) and Jim Goodall (drums). Soon after the publication of their first work, Rush and Putnam left the band, so, Medicine became a Trio (Laner, Goodall and Thompson) and they recorded "The Buried Life", thier second album published in 1993.
Medicine broke up in 1995 and reformed as a duo (Brad Laner and Shannon Lee) in 2003.
Laner in 1995 founded his own solo project "Amnesia" and then "Electric Company",
whose first album is entitled "A Pert Cyclic Omen" and was published in 1995.
Brad Laner has also collaborated with several other musicians and groups, such as, among others, Paul D'Amour, Chris Pitman (Replicants), Greg Edwards(Failure), Brian Eno, David Byrne and Vas Deferens Organization.
