Profile:
Budgie formed in 1967 in Cardiff, Wales. They are renowned as one of the first bands to play Heavy Metal in music history. They certainly had a big influence on all New Wave of British Heavy Metal (NWOBHM) bands that were to come in the U.K. in the second part of the Seventies. Metallica themselves, chose Budgie songs for their cover albums and often played live "Breadfan" and "Crash Course in Brain Surgery". Budgie still go on playing live, mostly in the UK and North Europe.
