Carmine Appice is probably best known for his work with Vanilla Fudge, Cactus and the trio Beck, Bogert & Appice.
He is credited with influencing drummers such as Ian Paice, John Bonham, Neil Peart, Nicko McBrain, Joey Kramer, Bill Ward, Phil Collins, Keith Moon, Eric Singer, Tommy Lee and Dave Lombardo.
Appice is known for his showmanship, stick tosses and twirls. He was the first rock drummer to organise drum clinics held at college campuses, theatres and drum stores.
