Carole King (born Carol Klein), along with her ex-husband Gerry Goffin, wrote more than twenty hits during the 1960s, and many have become standards. in 1959, at 17, along with Gerry Goffin, Carole King wrote her first number 1, "Will You Love Me Tomorrow." In 1997 she wrote "The Reason" for Celine Dion. As a singer, her most famous work is the album "Tapestry", which, in 1971, topped the U.S. album chart for 15 weeks and remained on the charts for more than six years. In 1990, she was inducted, along with Gerry Goffin, into the Songwriters Hall of Fame and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
