Ches Smith works and collaborates with many bands and artists in a variety of contexts and genres, including experimental rock bands and jazz ensembles. Among others, he has performed with Xiu Xiu, Mr. Bungle, Good For Cows, Secret Chiefs 3, Marc Ribot,
Fred Frith, Sean Hayes, 7 Year Rabbit Cycle and Carla Bozulich. In 2006 he has also recorded an album of his own solo percussion pieces
titled "Congs For Brums".
