The Head On The Door

The Head On The Door, Cure The Head On The Door: The Head on the Door was recorded at Angel Studios, in London. The Head on the Door is the first album to feature Boris Williams as drummer, it also sees the return of Simon Gallup, and it's the Porl Thompson's first album as a Cure's official member. Ron Howe, from "Fools Dance" plays a saxophone solo on the track "A Night Like This".

In my opinion, "The Head On The Door" is one of the most beautiful albums of the Cure, and of all alternative rock mixed with dark / goth rock and new wave.
Songs like "In Between Days", "The Blood" and "Close To Me", best represent this essence, and although 25 years have passed since its publication, the feeling remains the same. A great album for a great band.
