Curt Smith is a founding member, together with Roland Orzabal, of Tears for Fears in 1981. After three albums with Tears for Fears, Smith left the band to pursue his solo career and other musical projects (in 1996 he founded the Mayfield together with Charlton Pettus). In early 2000s Smith joined Roland Orzabal again, the duo under the name of Tears for Fears, published in 2004 "Everybody Loves A Happy Ending". Subsequently Smith dedicated himself again to his solo career.
