Danny "Kootch" Kortchmar is a songwriter and a session musician. He's credited also as Danny Kortchmar, Daniel Kortchmar, Dan Kortchmar, Danny "Kootch" Kortchmar and even Danny Kootch on different works. Kortchmar has played and collaborated with several musicians, such as Carly Simon, Graham Nash, David Crosby, James Taylor and Carole King. He also was a part of bands such as, The Fugs, The City (along with bassist Charles Larkey and Carole King), Jo Mama and Midnight Eleven. he has often written or co-written songs for Don Henley and Jackson Browne. As a leader, Kortchmar published two albums, the first in 1973, entitled "Kootch", and the second in 1980 entitled "Innuendo".
