Born David Scott Mustaine in La Mesa, California, he is the founder, guitarist, vocalist and main songwriter of Heavy Metal band Megadeth. Mustaine was also the first lead guitarist and co-songwriter of Metallica, he left the band very soon due to conflicts with other members, above all with singer James Hetfield. In 2003 Dave suffered a bad injury to his left arm and according to doctors, he couldn't play guitar anymore. But he recorvered against all predictions and kept on singing and playing. Mustaine is considered by critics one of the best 100 vocalist in Heavy Metal and Megadeth are among the most important bands of this genre history.
