Dave (or David) Young is a musician, producer and sound engineer who has collaborated with several artists and has played with numerous bands. He was a member in John Cale's band between 1980 and 1985, and co-produced four of his albums. since 1993, Young has worked as live guitarist for the band "Element of Crime" and in 2002, he replaced Christian Hartje as permanent bass guitar player for the same group.
