David Lee Roth, also know as "Diamond Dave", is an American rock vocalist, songwriter, actor, widely considered as one of the main personalities in the whole hard rock scene, most notably that of the eighties. He is also considered one of the greatest heavy metal singers of all time. His "golden" period has been undoubtedly that in the late 70s and 80s when he performed as lead singer for Van Halen and, after his "dramatic" exit from the band, started his succesful solo career putting together his own band with musicians such as Billy Sheehan, Steve Vai, Gregg Bissonette among the others. He has released 7 solo albums. He re-united (and he is currently a member) with Van Halen in 2007.
