Derek Sherinian is best known as member of Dream Theater between 1995 and 1999, as co founder of the Planet X, for his projects and collaborations, and for his rich solo career. Sherinian has worked and collaborated with bands and musicians such as, amongst others, Alice Cooper, Kiss, Yngwie Malmsteen and Billy Idol. His solo albums feature several prominent artists, including Allan Holdsworth, Steve Lukather, Slash, Al Di Meola and John Sykes. In 2007, Sherinian partecipated also on the Ayreon project "01011001".
