Devon had relationships with other famous rock artists of the time: among them Mick Jagger, Brian Jones, Eric Clapton, Duane Allman. This "credited" her as one of the first "supergroupie" in rock history. Jimi hendrix dedicated to her the song "Dolly Dagger".

Born in 1940, Devon Wilson was Jimi Hendrix partner. They had a turbulent on/off relationship, right up to the night of Jimi's death. She was the only one of his partners to record with him. She died only six months after Hendrix under mysterious circumstances, apparently falling from an upper window in the famous Chelsea Hotel.
