IV is the most 'complete' Faust album, it's less innovative and psychedelic than their debut album but without any doubt, it's also the one that gave them a great consideration mainly by the critics. The opening track is a manifesto, and still today, it remains one of the best exemple of electronic prog rock, of which Faust are masters along with Neu!, Can, Cluster, Kraftwerk and few other bands. Sometimest it's occured that this work has been underrated, instead I think it's fondamental to best understand and apreciate the rock and the prog rock music history.

There are some really wonderful songs on this Faust work, all tracks are very good but the highlights are: 'Jennifer', 'Giggy Smile / Picnic on a Frozen River' and 'Läuft... Heisst das es läuft oder es kommt bald... Läuft'.
