Profile:

Flying Colors is a supergroup originated from an idea of mixing progressive rock/metal sounds with pop. The idea generated by executive producer Bill Evans in 2008, he then called the following musicians and asked them to be part of the band: drummer Mike Portnoy (Dream Theater, Adrenaline Mob) guitarist Steve Morse (Deep Purple, Dixie Dregs), keyboardist and multi-instrumentalist Neal Morse (Transatlantic, Spock’s Beard), bassist Dave LaRue (Dixie Dregs), and Rush/Queensrÿche producer Peter Collins. Evans and Collins then needed a vocalist more pop-oriented and after many rehearsals Casey McPherson (Alpha Rev, Endochine) was chosen. Flying Colors members started working together in 2011.
