Gary Herbig has worked as a studio musician (he has played on more than 1,000 albums and hundreds of movies and TV shows), and he has collaborated with several musicians and bands, such as, amongst others, Lee Ritenour, Tower of Power, Toshiko Akioshi, Seawind, the Percy Faith Orchestra, David Benoit, Elvis Presley, Don Ellis, Capp-Pierce Juggernaut, Gerald Wilson & Ed Shaunessy, Stanley Clarke and Bobby Rodriguez. Herbig has also a career as a leader, his first solo album is titled "Gary Herbig and Friends to Lovers" and it has reached the top ten on the Billboard contemporary jazz charts.
