After the publication of 'A Trick of the Tail' (1976) and 'Wind and Wuthering' (1977), Genesis realize this double live album that marks the transition from early Genesis (with Peter Gabriel) to the new Genesis, with Phil Collins as a leader. In my opinion, Seconds Out deserves the appreciation both by lovers of old Genesis, and by fans of progressive rock. It' s a work in which the voice of Phil Collins gives a different essence to the songs of the band, there isn't the depth of Gabriel, however, the result is nice and fresh. On drums and percussion are Chester Thompson and Bill Bruford, a couple of songs are also performed by Phil Collins on the drums, in what was for many years his role. The highlights are 'Robbery Assault and Battery', 'Supper's ready' and 'Dance On A Volcano'. Release - Label:Virgin Records; Year:1994; Code:GECDX 2001
