Gerald “Gerry” Goffin is best known as author of many famous songs (mostly written in collaboration with ex-wife Carole King and later along with Michael Masser), such as, amongst others, "(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman" (recorded by Aretha Franklin in 1967), "Will You Love Me Tomorrow", "Theme From Mahogany (Do You Know Where You're Going To, 1973)", "Tonight I Celebrate My Love" (recorded by Roberta Flack and Peabo Bryson, 1983), "Nothing's Gonna Change My Love for You" (recorded by George Benson in 1984, and then by Glenn Medeiros in 1987), Saving All My Love for You (recorded by Whitney Houston in 1985). As a singer, Goffin recorded two albums, in 1973 "It Ain't Exactly Entertainment", and in 1996 "Back Room Blood". In 1990, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame along with former songwriting partner and first wife, Carole King.
