The Gesamtkunstwerk (GKW) were founded in mid-2009 by Eugenio Battaglini, Dante Scardelletti and Federico Aloi. In the end of October of the same year, the Gesamtkunstwerk began performing in and around Rome, to represent as best as possible what their name means, in fact, "Gesamtkunstwerk" is translated as, universal artwork, synthesis of the arts, comprehensive artwork, all-embracing art form, total work of art, or total artwork (from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gesamtkunstwerk). So, They begin a steady and continuous collaboration with visual artist Mamo (Mariano Felici), and on stage they show works made by young artists, such as, photographers, painters, sculptors and others.
