Grant-Lee Phillips (born Bryan G. Phillips) is a multi-instrumentalist known for his intense lyrical narratives and versatile voice.
Grant-Lee Phillips is a founding member of the Shiva Burlesque, with them he has released two albums, "Nate Starkman & Son" (1987), and "Mercury Blues" (1990).
Subsequently, along with some Shiva Burlesque's member, Joey Peters and Paul Kimble, Phillips founded in the early 90s, the Grant Lee Buffalo, with which he recorded four albums.
The Grant Lee Buffalo disbanded in 1999 and Grant-Lee Phillips began his solo career.
As a leader, his first work is titled "Ladies Love Oracle" and it was published in 2000.
