Greg Phillinganes was discovered by Stevie Wonder who wanted him in his "Wonderlove band" where Phillinganes stayed from 1976 until 1981, when he left it to pursue a solo career. In 1981 he published his first album titled "Significant Gains" and began to collaborate mostly as session man with several artists such as among others Bee Gees, Eric Clapton, Donald Fagen, Aretha Franklin, Patti LaBelle, Michael Jackson, Paul McCartney. Phillinganes was also the musical director for Michael Jackson's Bad & Dangerous concert tours. In 2005 he become an official member of Toto replacing definitively David Paich. Phillinganes remained with Toto until the band broke up, in 2008.
