Profile:
The Hüsker Dü were a hardcore punk - alternative rock band from U.S. They began their career as a hardcore punk band, the change of direction cames in 1984 with the album 'Zen Arcade'. Zen Arcade is a work characterized by a strong musical experimentation and marks the final separation from their early compositions. Then, their style changed again, this time close to a sound more melodic and introspective, until 1987, when the band broke up mainly because of tensions between Bob Mould and Grant Hart. The Hüsker Du are considered by a large number of music critics as a very influential and important band in rock history.
