Born Ian Fraser Kilmister, also known as Lemmy Kilmister, Ian Fraser Willis, Lemmy the Lurch, he is best known as the founding member, singer and bassist of the British rock 'n' roll/metal band Motörhead, he's also known for his previous career in space rock band Hawkwind. He is the only founding member still in Motörhead, the others being changed frequently. His look and most of all his gravelly voice, have made him an icon worlwide.
