Iarla Ó Lionáird was born in 1964 in the West Cork gaeltacht area of Cuil Aodha.
He is a musician and producer well-known for his involvement in the 'Afro Celt Sound System'.
Iarla Ó Lionáird has also a solo career started in 1997 with the album entitled 'The Seven Steps To Mercy (for Peter Gabriel's Real World Records).
