In my opinion, if with Powerslave Iron Maiden reached the peak of their music and atmosphere, with Somewhere In Time they reached the peak of their songwriting. All of these songs are pure mastepieces. And I remember criticizing them at the time (like most of heavy metal fans) because of the use of keyboads and synthetizers in what in our mind had to remain a genre free from these "oddities"... but we were young and wild and free ,-)
