Jamie Muir is best known as member of King Crimson from 1972 to 1973. With King Crimson Muir recorded only an album "Larks' Tongues In Aspic " and then suddenly left the band to withdraw into a Tibetan monastery in Scotland where he remained for about seven years. In 1990 he finally retired from music to devote himself to painting.
