James "Jamie" Cyrus Stewart is the leader and the frontman of the "Xiu Xiu", he is also a member of "Former Ghosts" and he was a member of "7 Year Rabbit Cycle". Jamie Stewart began his career in an R&B cover band, and then founded "IBOPA" together with his father and seven other people. When IBOPA disbanded, Stewart with Cory McCulloch (a former member of IBOPA), founded "Ten in the Swear Jar", which subsequently evolved into Xiu Xiu. James Stewart has also collaborated with members of "the Divinyls", "Devo" and "the Screamers".
