Profile:
The Japan originated as a quintet and so remained until 1980, when the guitarist, Rob Dean, left the band. Japan announced their disbanded in the summer of 1982 with the pubblication of the live album "Oil on Canvas". All of the band members went on to work on other projects, with varying degrees of success. In 1989 1990 under the name "Rain Tree Crow" the Japan's former members, Sylvian, Karn, Jansen and Barbieri, issued one self-titled album, released in April 1991.
