Drummer Jay Schellen is best known as a member of the hard-rock band Hurricane. In 2005, Jay Schellen joined the band Asia, where he replaced Chris Slade. When Geoff Downes left the line-up for a reunion of the original Asia quartet, Schellen remained with "Asia Featuring John Payne". Before joining Asia, Jay played drums also for, amongst others, Unruly Child, Badfinger, Billy Sherwood and Conspiracy with Chris Squire.
