Jerome Harris' main collaboration was with Sonny Rollins, in fact, between 1988 and 1994 he was Rollins' guitarist, he played on five of his recordings. Harris has also recorded and/or toured with many notables jazz musicians, such as, Bill Frisell, Amina Claudine Myers, Bob Moses, Bobby Previte, Bob Stewart, Julius Hemphill, Oliver Lake, Don Byron, Ray Anderson, George Russell and Jack DeJohnette, among others. During his long career, Harris has appeared on more than fifty recordings, and in addition to this, he has also a career as a leader.
