Band Of Gypsys, Jimi Hendrix Band Of Gypsys: Band of Gypsys is a live album of the band formed by Jimi Hendrix after his Experience. It was recorded on two separate nights, 31 December 1969 and 1 January 1970, at the Fillmore East, famous rock venue on Second Avenue near East 6th Street, Manhattan, New York City. It was released just three months before Hendrix's death in 1970, the only Hendrix-authorized album to be released on Capitol Records in the U.S. Released on Track Records for the the UK market.
