Woke Up This Morning And Found Myself Dead

Woke Up This Morning And Found Myself Dead, Jimi Hendrix Woke Up This Morning And Found Myself Dead: The material on this live album was first released on a bootleg LP entitled "Sky High", which is a valuable gem for collectors. Jimi Hendrix himself recorded this live on his portable reel to reel machine during a jam session performance at The Scene club, 301 West 46th Street, New York City in March 1968. That night, a drunken Jim Morrison performed some vocals and screaming and he is actually the only certain musician appearing on this recording. Other musicians that played bass, drums, second electric guitar and harmonica are either unknown (possibly Randy Hobbs on bass, Noel Redding or Randy Zehringer or Buddy Miles on drums) or they strongly denied the performance (Johnny Winter credited as second guitarist, has always said he was not there and never met Jim Morrison in all his life). There are other editions of this recording with different titles, among them "Bleeding Heart" 1994.

This album is precious for collectors and die-hard fans only. The sound's quality is not so good and the songs could be played better. One, among many others, live album, published after Jimi Hendrix death.
