Profile: Jimmy Cobb is best known for his collaborations with Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Stan Getz, Dizzy Gillespie and with many other musicians. With Miles Davis, Cobb has played on some historical recordings, such as, Kind of Blue, Sketches of Spain, Someday My Prince Will Come, Live at Carnegie Hall, Live at the Blackhawk, Porgy and Bess and Sorcerer. Cobb, still performs, and leads his own band called "Jimmy Cobb's Mob".
