John Arch (born John Maurice Archambault) is known as a member of Fates Warning between 1982 and 1987. In Fates Warning, Arch wrote all the lyrics and co-wrote the majority of the band's songs, together with guitarist Jim Matheos. Since 1987 Arch kept himself out of the musical scene, then he returned in 2003, when he released his EP titled "A Twist of Fate". The EP sees the collaborations of musicians such as, Jim Matheos (Fates Warning co-founder), Mike Portnoy and Joey Vera.
