Profile:
John Alec Entwistle is famous as a founding member and bass player of the Who. Entwistle was also a producer and in 1971 began a parallel career to the group with the album "Smash Your Head Against the Wall". John Entwistle is considered a very important bassist in the rock history. In The Who Pete Townshend preferred rhythm parts with his guitar, for this reason, Entwistle had to develop an elaborated and complex technique, that allowed to transform the role of the bass from a simple rhythm instrument to a creator of melodies. Pete and John in fact often exchanged roles, with Pete who got the rhythm and John, who performed solos. No one before had thought of the bass as an instrument that dictated the rules, John did it. For this reason he enjoyed and enjoys a high regard.
