John Foster is a singer/songwriter who found fame when he joined the the Bronski Beat in 1986, after the departure of Jimmy Somerville. The bands best known song during this period with Foster as vocalist was Hit That Perfect Beat. The song became a popular dance hit and reached number three in the UK charts in January 1986. In 1987 Foster left Bronski Beat.
