John Lawton is probaby best known as member and lead singer of Uriah Heep between September 1976 and August 1979. Previously, Lawton played with the Asterix on the album "Asterix" (1970) and with other two bands called "Lucifer's Friend" and "Les Humphries Singers". When Lawton left Uriah Heep, he returned to play with both the groups and also with, among others, the "Rebel" and with the "Gunhill". Lawton has also a solo career.
