Born Joshua Adam Klinghoffer, he is an American multi-instrumentalist, who played a lot as session musicians with famous artists and bands of various genres. He is best known for his collaborations with John Frusciante and for becoming the lead guitarist for rock band Red Hot Chili Peppers since 2009 (curiously replacing his long time friend and collaborator, Frusciante himself).
