Kate Bush (born Catherine Bush) is a musician, songwriter and record producer.
She was introduced into the musical scene by David Gilmour, who recognized her enormous talent and
financed her first sessions, attracting the attention of his label, EMI. Since that moment, they have often worked together,
both occasional projects and gigs.
Her first television appearance was in Germany in the program "Bio's Bahnhof", on 9 February 1978;
On February 16 of same year, she began in Britain, in Top of the Pops;
In U.S.A., Bush made her first appearance on "Saturday Night Live" on 9 December 1978.
Kate Bush Throughout her long career has also collaborated with several artists, such as Peter Gabriel, Midge Ure and Jeff Back, among others.
She reached an international success since her debut, in 1978, with the hit "Wuthering Heights" inspired by the novel by Emily Brontë.
The song remained at number one in the U.K. charts for four weeks and it was also appreciated in other countries.
Other international hits that topped the charts over the years were "Babooshka", "Moving, Running Up That Hill", "The Sensual World",
"The Man with the Child in His Eyes", "Do not Give Up" (along with Peter Gabriel) and others.
In 2005, after a long period of inactivity, Bush has published The double album "Aerial"
and in late 2007, She has composed and recorded a new song, "Lyra", for the soundtrack to the fantasy film "The Golden Compass".
